The lights are excellent for mood lighting when your regular pool LEDs are off and although the beam is visible up to 12-feet from the bulb, the beam invisible reaches up to 25-feet, ensuring maximum effects brilliance.

How many lights do I need to install?
The number of lights you need to install completely depends on the layout of your pool. Your NUVO-Glo™ UV Lights need to be able to beam to all areas of your pool to light up as many effects as possible. Your pool builder will work directly with us to determine the optimal placement of your lights and they will review options with you so you can make a final decision.
UV is typically not safe to look at. Are your lights safe to look at?
NUVO-Glo™ UV Lights are packed with powerful luminance while being 100% safe and filtered to block harmful light rays from harming your eyes.
Can you see the beam when the lights are on?
Yes, you can see the high-frequency violet beam from the light. The effect you get is a low-light, low-ambiance effect that does not intrude on the normal lighting of your pool. Turn on NUVO-Glo™ UV Lights to excite (light up) your NUVO-Glo™ Aggregates, Tiles, and Mosaics, and to create a beautiful nighttime low-lighting effect.
Can the lights be dimmed?
The primary purpose of your NUVO-Glo™ UV Lights is to excite the effects in your pool. You don’t want your lights to be dimmed as it will compromise your effects.
How much are the lights?
NUVO-Glo™ UV Lights are only sold to your builder and your builder has to determine the labor involved to install your lights. It would be impossible for us to determine your cost, however, we can absolutely tell you that it is 10-fold more affordable than installing other effects in your pool such as fiber optics.
Your builder will go over costs with you once the recommended number of lights and added effects are determined for your pool.
What are some of the factors that determine the cost of the lights?
There are many factors that determine the cost to have NUVO-Glo™ Lights installed in your pool:
• The number of lights needed to light the effects in your pool.
• How far along in the process of having your pool installed. The earlier you are in the process, the easier it is to plan your installation.
• The amount of NUVO-Glo™ Aggregates*, Tiles, and/or Mosaics you want installed in your pool.
* The amount of NUVO-Glo™ Aggregates is normally determined on a 1 lb per 40 square feet, but you may determine you need more or less than that.
When is the best time to make the decision to install the NUVO-Glo™ UV Lighting System?
The best time is during the planning phase of your new pool when your designer is laying out the design of your pool.
The later in the process you decide could result in additional costs. For instance, you can ask your builder to install the NUVO-Glo™ UV Lighting System up to the point where you have gunite in your pool and prior to your decking being put in, however, additional work is needed which could lead to additional costs and delays in the completion of your pool.
